Team FRIEDELSHEIM is a group of dedicated German Shorthaired Pointer enthusiasts and hunters committed to preserving and maintaining the versatile gun dog traits we have long admired in a high performance dog.

 

Established by Donnie Ebersole in 2000, Donnie brings many years of experience testing and training GSPs for NAVHDA and AKC sanctioned events. In addition, Donnie has successfully trained his personal dogs to the highest level in AKC Hunt Tests (Master Hunter) and in NAVHDA (Versatile Champion). 

 

A high desire of success and passion resonates within the Friedelsheim GSP team. We are fully committed  to exposing the dogs within our program to many hunting, testing and trialing opportunities.  This personal commitment and investment allows us to continually evaluate all aspects of dogs being utilized in the Friedelsheim GSP breeding program. 

 

Our team takes great pride in producing GSPs with impeccable pedigrees that will be outstanding versatile gun dogs. We believe that everyone deserves a dog that has the ability to present calmness in the home but yet that burning desire in the field or marsh.  It is our thought that a well bred German Shorthaired Pointer puppy should inherently present a strong amount of natural ability. This includes pointing, retrieving, backing, and a desire to please at an early age. If the dog will be used for advanced competition it should also have the mental stability and aptitude  to handle the training pressure required to achieve success at a high level.

 

To maintain the traits we prefer to see in our offspring, the majority of our litters are linebred using time tested breeding patterns that were performed for many generations by top notch German and American breeders. Today, our breeding program is linebred on VC SUNDANCE REVELATION MH CGC  and has a solid foundation of DC Hillhaven’s Hustler, Hege-Haus, Pottsiepen, and Stradivarius bloodlines. The Friedelsheim GSPs breeding program works closely with Sundance GSPs in Missouri and Stillwater GSPs in Ohio.

Friedelsheim GSPs has been the recipient of NAVHDA Natural Ability, Utility, and Invitational breeder awards. 

 

All of our personal dogs are trained by us and hunted throughout the US each year on a variety of upland and waterfowl game. 

 

Friedelsheim GSPs is a NAVHDA registered kennel and an AKC Breeder of Merit.
