Friedelsheim’s planned fall 2020 breeding between Ranger x Lucky brings together two powerful versatile gun dogs that complement each other very well. Linebred off a solid foundation of proven versatile gun dogs this breeding has a strong emphasis on producing a high caliber versatile gun dog that will have a sound temperament and will excel in the field, marsh, and as a member of the family.

Ranger is the son of Int. CH Friedelsheim’s Excelsior MH UT I and Friedelsheim's Firestorm UT I. Ranger hails from a long line of proven versatile hunting and testing dogs, and is an exceptional wild bird hunter himself. Ranger exhibits great style on his birds and has a high work ethic. He has been hunted on wild birds in ND, KS, PA, and MI pursuing Pheasant, Bobwhite Quail, Ruffed and Sharptail grouse. Ranger has shown to be true to his pedigree with a great nose, desire and style in the field and water. Ranger has a great disposition and is a terrific member of the family. Ranger will be running in AKC Master Hunter tests starting in the fall of 2020.

Lucky is the daughter of VC Sundance Zane vd Westwind MH x Friedelsheim’s Nirvana UT I.  In Nov 2019, we brought Lucky vom Stillwater into the Friedelsheim family.  She is a throw back to the powerful versatile dogs of old.  Prior to joining us, the majority of Lucky's career had been spent living on the South Dakota prairie chasing upland and waterfowl birds. She is a wild bird dog at heart. Lucky’s drive and confidence in the water is unmatched. She has a great work ethic, stable temperament, with high drive and desire.  She is light on her feet, very athletic, and has a great ground hunting application. She is one of those dogs that has that “switch” – laid back in the house (where she lives) and all business in the field.
